The Model Z -- RAID Controller

The Model Z is a SCSI-to-SCSI intelligent disk array controller. It
performs RAID-O (striping), RAID-3 (parallel transfer) or RAID-5
(independent transfer) operation.

The Model Z features a RISC processor. It is designed for high ease-of-use,
and supports up to five SCSI drives. A later version of the controller
will support up to 35 drives, on seven tiers.

A menu-driven utility eases setup configuration, and an LCD provides
detailed diagnostic information.

The Model Z is fast and wide on the host side, and fast on the drive side
(i.e., supports fast SCSI drives).

This controller is ideal for Novell network storage, among other multi-user
platforms.

The controller is sold to OEMs, system integrators and VARs.

The packaging is unique: 5.25" full high. The controller is in a chassis
the size of a disk drive, so it can easily be slid into a 5.25" slot in a
disk tower.

With a price of $3,295, the Model Z is now available.
